Our Vision
We are a team of young professionals and academics who’ve come together to build a sustainable community development center in Kamaltar, Nepal to uplift the living conditions of the people through education, counselling, vocational training and skill development. Our mission is to motivate, guide and help the people of Kamaltar towards a positive local environment and successful careers. Our organisation will mostly focus on all round development of children and women who seek guidance and direction for their successful career, financial independence and provide them with every possible facility of education and skill development for free.
“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”

Marga Community Center at Kamaltar
The location comprises two plots of land of 27,380 sq. ft. each. One of them will include the main site structures for community activities and the other will be dedicated to permaculture farming. These are two separate projects within Marga. The main motivation for developing the primary site was to promote education and progress for under-priviledged children while also providing a safe atmosphere. We strive to make this project an environment friendly one where we can conserve biodiversity through our sustainable practices. We strive to make this a holistic domain where each individual involved with Marga can experience an all round development.
Why Kamaltar
Alcoholism, physical abuse, high dropout rates and child labour are all a part of everyday life in Kamaltar village in Nepal’s Gorkha municipality. The village is a mere 145 kms away from Kathmandu, but feels like a different world altogether. Agriculture provides a living for the majority of the people there. The rich and the educated have left the village. The poor and uneducated ones from the socio-economically disadvantaged communities are being left behind.Kamaltar has a variety of castes following different cultures and traditions. Due to the caste system there is a margin between high caste and low caste. Conservative practices such as Untouchability still prevail in this area towards castes like Damai, Kami, and Sarki to name a few. Their children are sold in Kathmandu and India then forced to work as child labourers.
